Guesia Village Hotel & Spa

Terrible experience! One main reason we picked this hotel was for the air conditioning. Upon arrival at the hotel, Maurizio at the front desk barely looked up to greet us. As we stood there to check in, he left the front desk without even acknowledging our presence. Finally, we got his attention because a person in our party struck up a conversation with him in Italian. This seemed to make him a bit more friendly (even though he DID speak english!) and he checked us into our hotel apartment. After getting into our hotel apartment, we noticed the air conditioning was not functioning. This was a big problem since it was extremely hot. When we went to the front desk to speak to Maurizio, he threw a tantrum, slamming the phone and shoving it across the front desk. Maurizio's behavior was extremely unprofessional and his outburst scared my kids. He also made it extremely obvious that he did not like Americans! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you are an American!

The rooms are nice, but more cleaning would be needed, in reality I think more staff would be needed to help with cleaning The food leaves much to be desired, not to mention the wait to be served at the table Bad experience also with the Spa, after I waited my turn to enter the pool I found it dirty and the water was greasy. After all, the staff is friendly especially after being called back I hope this review helps them understand and improve, in the end Umbria deserves
